Symrise attended Supply Marketplace on May 1-2, 2013 in New York City at the Jacob Javits Center. Supplyside Marketplace is an annual expo and conference put on by Virgo Publications. It serves as the east coast version of their bigger event, SupplySide West. It is the destination for exploration, discovery, innovation, and market strategy for a healthier marketplace in the food and beverage industry.
Symrise set up shop with a booth in the expo hall for the two day event. The booth featured Symrise’s masking technology, SymLife Mask. SymLife Mask is designed to hide off-tastes like bitterness, astringency, and off-notes.
To showcase SymLife Mask we featured two different product samples at our booth. The first was a chocolate fudge protein-packed pudding. The pudding featured eight grams of protein and seven grams of fiber in just one half cup! We also offered samples of super protein strawberry lemonade with 25 grams of protein, B vitamin, and ten grams of fiber in just sixteen ounces! Both of the samples were a hit with attendees.
Another big hit with attendees was the Symrise iPad Mini giveaway. Attendees were entered to win an iPad Mini from Symrise by simply stopping by our booth and getting their attendee badge scanned. The booth saw a large amount of traffic. According to Donna Rosa, Symrise Senior Director of Consumer Health, the show seemed to have more traffic overall this year than in previous years. She indicated that the east coast Marketplace show has grown substantially over the last few years.
