Los Angeles is a mecca for Mexican and other Latin American foods. The city was founded by Mexican settlers back in 1781 and today, more than 48% of it's residents are Latino. Some neighborhoods, like East LA are virtually entirely Latino (96.7%).

Long Story short, if you are looking for great Latin cooking, LA is definitely at the top of places to go. Today, it's not only traditional taco joints that are thriving around the city, but also Nuevo Mexican Cuisine and many Latin American foods beyond Mexican, including Colombian, Salvadoran and Cuban.

On a recent trip to the city, members of the Symrise NA team toured the cities best Latin restaurants (and other locations including coffee shops, markets and street food centers) and then distilled them down into this list of Top 7 Latin Food and Beverage Spots.
