Recently, as part of our Sabor in America initiative here at Symrise we put together a magazine featuring key insights into the Latino population in the U.S. and their influence on mainstream America. In the magazine we cover many topics including Latino buying power, dining dynamics, acculturation, snacking and much more.
One of the things we focus on in the magazine is flavor insight. We wanted to take a look at the past decade+ and see what key Hispanic flavors were showing up in new product launches in the United States.
After studying Mintel's Global New Product Database from 2000-2013 we were able to identify the top key Hispanic flavors for both savory and sweet products in the U.S. We used this information to put together a quick and helpful guide to key Hispanic flavors in America.
