Seasonality is one of today’s key drivers for flavor innovation.  It allows products to capture consumers’ attention due to defined timelines and availability of specific flavor profiles.  Nothing drives demand like scarcity and the possibility of it not being available forever.

This holds especially true for the food and beverage world.  From craft breweries to artisanal ice cream to the beloved pumpkin spice latte offered in the Fall…well it really has become late Summer all the way into winter – almost pushing Spring – but hey, it is still considered “seasonal”.

One last thought…keep it fun, exciting and interesting.  Push the boundaries and excite and delight your consumer.
