Global savoury snack sales are predicted to top 103bn ($138bn) by 2020, as the 'snackification' trend continues to grow, according to new research from consumer insights firm Canadean. Currently valued at 71bn ($94.5bn), the sector will achieve compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.9%. Growth was forecast to come mainly from developing countries in the Asia-Pacific and Eastern European regions, which will achieve CAGRs of 13.7% and 7.3%.
