Symrise is pleased to announce that we will once again be exhibiting at SNAXPO from Sunday, April 2 to Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center in Savanah, Georgia, in booth #315.
SNAC International is the international trade association of the snack food industry and represents more than 400 snack manufacturers and suppliers around the world. Its annual trade show, SNAXPO, the world’s premier event for the snacking industry, showcases everything from the latest equipment and technology to improve industry manufacturer operations; to ingredients, products and innovative flavors.
This year, an estimated 1,200 industry professionals from around the world – everyone from manufacturers and suppliers, to buyers and execs, to marketing and sales experts, and more – are expected to attend and have the chance to talk to and experience the offerings exhibited by more than 150 passionate, international members of the snack food industry community. There will also be educational programs, scheduled speakers and special events throughout the convention.
Americans Agree: Bring on the Heat!
This year, we’re celebrating spice. “Hot” is what’s hot right now in the United States. There’s been a significant, widespread jump in popularity of spicier items on menus, particularly when it comes to hot sauces. From our research, particularly with wing sauce trends, we’ve found that if given the option between a mild flavor, such as sweet or garlic, and a more extreme heat, consumers are picking the hotter options for their wings more often, from spicy all the way up to extra hot.
No longer is one, standard “hot” option enough to satisfy consumers, who are searching for nuance and a new take on the old spicy norm. International flavors – like chipotle, habanero and Szechuan – are flourishing on menus and with brands across the country for this reason.
This year, we’re inviting attendees to embrace the burn with samples of snack seasonings based on hot sauces from around the world available to taste at our booth. Our team of experts will be available to anyone who would like to have a conversation about our research on the latest global food trends and how to best incorporate some new, international flavors into their offerings.
