Symrise took part in the Manhattan Cocktail Classic in May 2013. The annual event takes place at the New York Public Library in Manhattan. For the Classic Gala, the library is overtaken with spirits companies, mixologists, and party-goers for an entertaining night of cocktails, food, and fun. The gala is the ultimate showcase for the latest in cocktail and spirit trends.

Symrise partnered with Junior Merino, the Liquid Chef, to serve up some tasty cocktails featuring Symrise flavors at the event. The Smoky Tamarindo and the Big Apple were the two cocktails featured at the Symrise-Liquid Chef bar. Both cocktails featured Symrise grilled fruit flavors. The Smokey Tamarindo was actually picked as the “favorite of the night” by cocktail writer Tony Sachs of the Huffington Post.

After the gala on Friday night, Symrise participated in the “Industry Invitational” portion of the Manhattan Cocktail Classic on Saturday at the Andaz Hotel on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Symrise Senior Vice President of Marketing and Consumer Insights, Emmanuel Laroche along with Junior Merino, presented Fruit Flavors: A La Parilla. The presentation featured insights and information around grilled fruit inspired cocktails. The event was an overall success. It was a great way for Symrise to showcase its innovative flavors and gain inspiration from world renowned mixologists in the process.
