The Symrise Ice Cream Flavor Madness 2020 Bracket has ended and the Last Scoop Standing has been crowned.
For a month we have been asking 10,000 consumers, in real time, to choose which flavors continue on and which flavors do not stack up in order to determine America’s most popular ice cream flavor of 2020. The time has come and the results are in! If you are just joining us, refer to our introductory article for rules and field of flavors. Otherwise let’s continue below to our in-game analysis.
The final match-up came down to two familiar flavors; #4 Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough representing the Healthy Lifestyle region and #7 Chocolate Fudge Brownie representing the Premium Indulgence region.

Each of these flavors has proven to be battle tested; defeating #1 seeds, taking on bakery flavors that at one point seemed too hot to stop, taking down trendy flavors to show that the prime classics are not going anywhere and even surviving the peanut butter craze!
Consumers went with the vanilla base with this one, that’s right; #4 Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is America’s favorite ice cream of 2020 beating out #7 Chocolate Fudge Brownie by a consumer vote of 53% to 47%.
For all of the brackets we received, thank you for the participation. Out of those brackets, only two individuals have correctly predicted the winning flavor! We will tally up the total scores and send an email out notifying the winner shortly.
